About
It’s All About Kilts / Plaid Skirts, And Scottish Music – Parties in North Hampshire
Membership of the ‘kilts and Scottish music’ club is free. [By the way, it is not all Scottish music – there is a great deal of ‘ornery’ music too.]
The ‘kilts and Scottish music’ parties happen at my home (in Andover). It is not that big and we can only really cope with up to around 20 partygoers. We currently offer our ‘kilts and Scottish music Parties' on 2 evenings a week.
So – we would like to hear from you if you are interested – you will then automatically become a member of the club.
How to dress: The wearing of kilts at these parties is highly encouraged – even if you aren’t actually Scottish! I wear mine, something I haven’t done (until now) for quite a few years. (You can get quite good ones for £45 (currently) from ‘The Heritage of Scotland’ – the first name that comes up when you look up ‘kilts for men’ on Google [and they also sell kilts for women for about the same price – it’s really nice when the women turn up in kilts too – and for women, the wearing of plaid skirts is equally acceptable.])
As space is limited, you need to book your place at a particular party, giving us at least 24 hours notice. First timers will be given the exact location, and also directions.
[Email us at gcburnell20@gmail.com to book, quoting ‘Scottish Parties’.]
When you do so, tell us if you intend to wear a kilt (or a Plaid skirt, or something like that). There will be room for a certain number of couples, and we’ll try and keep the number of single men and women fairly even.
Please tell us if you are joining as a single person or if you are part of a couple (who are both interested), your sex, and how old you are (over 18s only).
PS The Parties run from 8pm to Midnight (as we have neighbours who have sometimes complained about noise levels, it would be impossible for them to finish later than this).
